Rock chick

Latest trends

Bet you didn’t expect this look from me! Yes, sometimes, I succumb to the mighty grey T. And it happens quite often…

So here is a prime example on how I style it. The mighty T is pretty universal and also quite humble. It will look great with a variety of clothes no matter what style.

First thing that comes to mind are a pair of distressed jeans. Very IN lately, the two are a match made in heaven. I chose boyfriend cut for this look as it gives more freedom and a macho feel to the outfit.

The shirt I chose for this look is also something that looks borrowed from the boyfriend’s wardrobe, but looks are deceiving… It is made out the softest cotton and would be super soft even for baby skin.

You can certainly wear heels with this, but I went for a pair of satin slipons with a skull graphic to go with the rock chick feel of this outfit.

And to counterbalance all that aggression and craziness with a good dose of femininity the red lip came to the rescue! Yes, ruby woo, pa doop dee do pooh ūüėõ

Another little detail that is on the other side of the scale is a relatively deep V neck of the shirt, because I don’t like to hide my femininity.

All that is left is…

And play my imaginary guitar!!!

Style Icon: Miley Cyrus

Style Icons

Teen queen turned fashion and pop culture provocateur Miley Cyrus is a style icon in her own right. Having transformed before our eyes from Disney pop princess into a bona fide fashion insider, her recent collaboration with Jeremy Scott is further proof of her fashion prowess and unique style sensibility. She can go from red carpet glam to high street brash and bold fashion in a snap. This is what makes her so exciting, what Miley wears is always a clear reflection of her mood and where she is in her life. It is so transparent and simply thrilling to watch and observe. Let Miley inspire you to take fashion risks and wear things you never thought you would. Buck tradition and break all the rules while keeping chicness top of mind a la Miley.15

Here are my picks of Miley’s top 10 best looks:

Miley does tailored in this red carpet look. Her cutting edge and modern take on the pantsuit involves bright yellow athletic piping and a mandarin collar top with sheer paneling. Wearing a black bra underneath a white top is a very Miley move that shows she’s no red carpet rookie. She can turn even a fashion faux pas into a moment of chicness.¬†

You wouldn’t expect to see Miley in a Canadian tuxedo (read: denim on denim look), and yet here she is pulling it off excellently and putting her own twist to it, of course. The long white talons, royal blue minimalist sandals, and her spiky bleached blonde hair are outfit add-ons that are so Miley.

A matching full tea skirt and crop top make for a ladylike ensemble. However, black and white perforated mesh detailing add a definitely daring spin on the matching set trend. I also love how Miley styled this look simply, opting to let these striking separates take center stage and keep the accessories and beauty look at a minimum.

This casual street style look is signature Miley. Youthful, playful, and fun, the Converse sneaks, oversized white tee and flannel shirt combo is a little bit country and a little bit rock n’ roll. Just like Miley. Layered and chunky gold bling, a messy top knot, oval sunnies, and a black leather studded carryall ¬†make this the quintessential young Hollywood pavement pounding outfit.

This is the look that best captures Miley’s style of the moment. A little bit more grown up and polished, and plenty more fashion forward, this monochromatic look has elements of street like a leather motorcycle jacket and chunky heeled creepers that blend with classic black pieces for a stunning evening look.

Want inspiration on how to style your graphic tee? Look no further than this look from Miley. A gilded satchel, leather mini skirt, and layered neck candy upgrade her tee from casual to an outfit fit for a night out or maybe a concert date. Take note of the extreme side part, and how a simple styling trick can have a huge difference in the overall vibe of your look.

Now while this red carpet look may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it perfectly captures Miley’s no holds barred, take no prisoners view on fashion. She is obviously going to have a great time wearing this look, and at the end of the day it’s how your clothes make you feel that truly matters. It’s such a provocative look that still manages to look noteworthy, I love the embellishments and the color and texture it adds to the look.

main.original.585x0 (3)

All white for the summer means extreme distressed jeans and cropped tops for Miley. With some chunky chain bling and creepers, she personalizes this all white look and gives it her touch of street style and funk.

main.original.585x0 (6)

She wowed everyone in this red carpet look for this year’s VMA Awards. Equal parts edgy, chic, and incredibly fashion forward, this all leather ensemble is just what you would expect from Miley on a red carpet event. It’s young and fun while still looking sophisticated, and reveals just the right amount of skin. The metallic sandal is a great footwear choice that nicely rounds out this A plus red carpet style.

Miley can go glam too. With slicked back hair, smoky eyes, and a splendid glittering column gown, it certainly displays her penchant for bold look-at-me styles. This gown is feminine and yet the green sequins elevates it from your traditional evening gown. The halter neckline is an excellent detail too.

Which out of these looks bowled you over? Don’t you just love how Miley is such a fashion chameleon?

Style Icon: Jennifer Lawrence

Style Icons

It’s no secret that everybody loves Jennifer Lawrence. She’s basically the quintessential girl-next-door with a little bit of sardonic humor. Her down-to-earth quality and her candidness have made her one of the most beloved young Hollywood stars of today. You just want to be her best friend! But even more than being extremely lovable and relatable, the girl can act. Having been in so many acclaimed movies like Winter’s Bone, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook to name a few. She is best known as Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games, of course.

Her elegant and effortless style earns her a spot as one of my modern style icons. here are some of her best looks on and off the red carpet:

Red lips, red nails, red dress. J-Law understands the power and innate sexiness that comes with wearing a striking hue of red from head to toe. It’s also an excellent styling to temper all that red with a classic black oversized blazer coat and heels.¬†5f44c398c8c131796c864d9af75d0051

A floor sweeping overcoat elevated Jennifer Lawrence’s easy striped shirtdress. The dramatic silhouette and textured collar of the coat gives this day look a touch of fashion forwardness and a slight masculine dressing inspiration.

This white lace frock is modern romance personified. The ladylike material and fit-and-flare silhouette is always a great choice for red carpet events. The white lace makes it more evening wear appropriate, while the accents of black keep this frock closer to chic and farther away from saccharine territory.

A matching navy dress and blazer duo makes a strong case navy being the new black. Navy is as sophisticated a neutral as any, and is an excellent and more contemporary alternative to your go-to little black dress. The lower neckline is balanced by the tailoring of the blazer, but the ribbon belt cinched at the waist adds to the feminine allure of this ensemble.
main.original.585x0 (1)

If you’re looking to wow on the red carpet, opt for a little black dress that is off-the-beaten track. Instead of a standard cocktail dress, select a dress that is more tailored, just like this streamlined blazer dress that Jennifer Lawrence sports for her movie premiere. The absence of conspicuous accessories and the wavy long bob are perfect styling complements to the tailoring detail of this new LBD–the little blazer dress.¬†main.original.585x0 (2)

One of J-Law’s most memorable and stunning turns on the red carpet, this glittering dress has a subtle ombre effect. The awesome colors of this dress, turning from rosy pink to pale pink to champagne, is all you need for that wow factor. Match your beauty look to the rosy hues of this dress for the easies route to red carpet royalty status.

main.original.585x0 (3)

Jennifer Lawrence brings out the edginess and rock n’ roll vibe of this embellished and mirrored dress even more with her makeup and hair styling choices. The slicked back hair and dark smoky eye increase the sultriness of this outfit.

main.original.585x0 (4)

J-Law’s fashion clout and sense of style translates off the red carpet too. This white crocheted top and cuffed boyfriend jeans are given a stronger bohemian feel with a tribal/aztec print bucket bag and belt, black espadrilles, and black wide-brim hat. Steal this look for your next weekend jaunt, it is simple, stylish, and effortless.¬†main.original.585x0 (5)

Jennifer Lawrence amazes on the red carpet once again. This is proof that if you feel and look good in something, there’s no reason not to wear it again. This vibrant tomato red Dior gown looks like it was made for J-Law. Red and Dior are two things that her style and personality truly agrees with. Flawless.¬†main.original.585x0

Two-piece matching sets are one hot trend this season. Jennifer Lawrence puts her own spin on this trend in this textured white crop top and A-line skirt set. The graphics and textures in this look make it distinctively more progressive looking than your standard two-piece looks.

Casual Upgrades

Beauty, Latest trends

Hi girls,

You must be puzzled by what the photo above is supposed to mean..well this is how I feel when I need to go NOW and I still haven’t decided what to wear. It is really frustrating and makes me late sometimes (ok ok, it makes me late a lot). I don’t like to plan my outfit and makeup the night before because I want it to reflect my¬†mood today. So I refuse to plan ahead unless it is an important event, like a friend’s wedding, Fashion Week or Christmas.

Moving on from that little issues, today I needed a slick but casual look. I wanted to feel cool in +32C yet constrained in movement, elegant but sexy and both confident and shy all at the same time. Sounds complicated? It is not. I wore a thick red lip and neutral eyeshadow with some liner Рthat is your confident and shy. Classic nude pumps with a lace top for elegant but sexy. And for feeling cool in +32C yet constrained Рspaghetti strap top with a pencil skirt. See, told you it is easy.

What do you do if you don’t want to be rushed and frustrated¬†in the morning? Here is the big secret: plan what you going to wear the night before. Simple ūüôā If you have chosen this way then don’t stop on the outfit, plan makeup and accessories to match! Very important!

If you are a free bird and hate planning there is only one way to deal with this and that is to wake up early! Well, looking your best is important, beauty requires sacrifice as they say. If you call waking up 20 minutes earlier a sacrifice. Anyway!

This is the look that I chose for the day. It is perfect for afternoon tea or a special lunch with your friends or boyfriend. Its sexiness is obvious yet toned down but very strict classic shoes and straight hair.

The colors are simple and natural and will look good in any interior, indoors or outdoors. Always go for natural colors if you want to look fresh and not made up too much. Everyone will be charmed immediately!

More shots just for fun))) And details ~(yawn)~:
