Light breeze, sunny weather and endless ocean is not something normally associated with the UK.
However, this description fits my experience in St Ives perfectly. This little coastal town 20miles from Land’s End (most westerly point of England) is a beautiful spot boasting a Mediterranean feel with a cosy British twist.
The outfit I put together was just right for this weather and helped me stand out from the blue theme of the place.
I went for a slightly sporty crisp white shirt with long sleeves from H&M to keep the skin covered up and away from the sun and accessoried the collar with a little brooch that was a gift from my mother.
Sunglasses of course we not optional and enhanced the contrast of the look. And I have to say I love how the earthy tones in the shorts and shoes matched up to the stone and moss in the background.
The woven brown belt by Mulberry helped to underline my waist and was in perfect harmony with my Ma-Ga watch.
As for bottoms I chose a pair of khaki shorts from Zara. They certainly added some chill attitude to my look.
Another thing that certainly added some chill was the wind on top of the hill, made me reach for the cozy hoodie.
Last but not least – the gradiator sandals. Got them in Aldo in Ion and I tell ya it was a steal. They just boast playfulness and fun with that cool fringe detail and bold orange straps. The movement of the fringe and bright colors certainly attracted some attention but I enjoyed it.
Our mini break in St Ives was too short, but the experience was fantastic and we will certainly remember this little place for years to come.
I would like to thank our hosts Angela & Olivier, who welcomed us to their beautifully decorated and super well maintained place called Trevose Harbour House and made us feel very at home. Olivier was there when we arrived and was very kind to welcome us personally.
The next morning he prepared the most delicious breakfast for us and Angela came to make sure everything is OK. They are perfect hosts and a lovely couple.
We will be back!
